Osaduik wins Surf City half
February 7, 2010By Mihira Lakshman
In a tune-up for a marathon in March, Steve Osaduik of Langley, BC, won the Surf City half marathon in Huntington Beach, Calif., in a time of 1:04:52.
Osaduik finished more than a minute ahead of his closest competitor.
On his blog, steveosaduik.com, he described the race as a controlled effort, where he was able to increase the pace in the final three miles, averaging 4:51/mile over that stretch.
The race was part of Osaduik’s preparation for the Lake Biwa Marathon in Japan, on Mar. 7.

As it is true that I grew up and spent most of my life in Port Alberni and started running there, I also spent the second half of my life in Nanaimo BC on Vancouver Island. And now, for the past 3 years, I have been living in Langley on the mainland where I train with a great group lead by Coach Richard Lee. Langley is home now and it luckily is a great place to train.
