Sprinter Akinremi to race Aston Martin in Toronto
August 17, 2010Former Canadian Olympic Team sprinter Okiki Akinremi will race an Aston Martin DB9 along a 2.5K route in downtown Toronto on Wednesday, as part of the lead-up to the 5K B&O Yorkville Run, which takes place on Sept. 12. The car will obey all traffic laws as Akinremi tries to make it to the finish line first. The 2.5K will be a major distance to cover for the 100m specialist.
The Race Before The Race will begin at 11:20 a.m. with a live feed on Bang & Olufsen’s BeoVision 4 -103″ flat-screen TV tracking the Aston Martin and Akinremi racing from the YWCA Elm Centre up Bay Street to Bang & Olufsen Yorkville.
