  • Sofsole

    Airr Performance Insole - $29.99 (men's), $24.99 (women's)

If you can't afford custom-made orthotics but still require some type of additional arch support, Sofsole's performance insoles are great for runners. They come in three different arch categories (flat, medium and high) with varying levels of cushioning (soft, medium and maximum). Use these insoles instead of the generic ones and you'll notice the additional air cushioning, reducing shock, along with some extra pronation control, though not as much as a rigid insert. The Coolmax fabric absorbs sweat, while the gel forefoot provides additional comfort. - ML

  • Arctic Ease

Cryotherapy Wraps and Pads - $14.99 (wraps), $9.99 (pads)

Requiring no refrigeration, Cryotherapy Wraps and Pads deliver a pain-reducing cooling effect without the hassles of conventional ice packs. The low-profile pads easily conform to aching muscles and resist shifting without the need for sticky adhesives or tape. The cool wraps cover injured areas like a tensor bandage. Stash one at the office and it would be perfect for after a noon-hour run or workout, when you don't have access to a freezer. -GA

  • Zax

    Heelspur Cream - $19

Zax's Original Heelspur Cream is made from four natural ingredients: devil's claw, arnica, ginger and menthol, which have anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. Use it to help reduce heel pain from fatigue, soft-tissue problems, or a change in footwear. The cream isn't greasy and has only a hint of a menthol smell. - ML
