Canadian Andre De Grasse didn’t disappoint in his first ever professional race winning the men’s 60m dash at the Millrose Games in New York City on Saturday. The Toronto native signed with Puma in December.

The Millrose Games takes place at the Armory in New York City and is often considered the most prestigious event in indoor track and field.

The two-time NCAA champion and two-time world championships bronze medallist, De Grasse stumbled out of the blocks but looked smooth following the hiccup to out-lean Su Bingtian at the line. Bingtian finished second in 6.62.
