Does anyone else feel that kms go by too quickly and that miles take too long? I propose that races now be made avialable in a more runner-friendly measures. None of the existing linear scales were designed for running at all. How about this instead- SNUS. One SNU= 1/30th of a marathon, or.873 miles, or 1406.5 m. So a 10 k race would by a 7.11, or simply a “Seven-Eleven.”

So, to the woman at the Seven-Eleven listening to music on her ipod near the front of the pack yesterday who tripped at SNU 1 and took a header into the sidewalk, I hope you’re ok but that you learned a lesson. Sorry, but if you need to run with a soundtrack, go to the back of the pack, or better still, use a treadmill.
