Hero the Hedgehog, the official mascot of the 2017 IAAF World Championships, took a dip in the steeplechase pit, a stunt, among others, which is trending on Twitter’s Moments feature.
Hero got his inflatable tube, coned off the water pit, used for the men’s and women’s 3,000m steeplechases, and took a breather, and in doing so entertained the London crowd. “Ermmmm… Hero the Hedgehog, we’re not sure that’s a swimming pool,” the BBC tweeted.
Seems like a relaxing spot to take in the pole vault.
Hero the Hedgehog sitting in an inflatable in the water jump is the funniest thing I seen all day #WorldAthleticsChampionships

And Hero’s latest stunt? A somersault down the stairs in the stadium.
