The world’s largest marathon will have some limited edition shoes from some leading brands in the running community.

The New York City Marathon, set for Nov. 6, is expected to attract as many as 50,000 participants. And while ASICS is the official footwear provider and sponsor of the event, other companies release New York City-themed shoes leading up to the race. Nike, for example, features an apple, the city’s nickname, on their themed line, which includes the FlyKnit Streak and the Free RN Distance.

Some of the shoes can be purchased online while others will be available at the race expo before the big day. Select running shoes have subtle references to New York City while others, the ASICS line or Brooks Adrenaline, for example, have clearer patterns referencing the city’s landmarks.
