For the first time, the Toronto Waterfront 10K features Lululemon swag and, so far, runners are loving it.
Packet pickup for the June 17 race began on Saturday, a full week ahead of race day giving locals and out-of-towners flexibility to grab their number and gear at their convenience. The sold-out event is part of the Canada Running Series, a circuit of races in Quebec, Ontario and British Columbia.

The Lululemon race shirt takes a subtle approach in design and features one small indication that it’s official Toronto Waterfront 10K apparel. A small logo on the left sleeve bears the race name. The shirt is slim-fitting and hip length. The exact model for women is the Swiftly Tech Short Sleeve Crew. For men, it’s the Metal Vent Tech SS.

As the shirt design circulates on social media, runners are noting the simple shirt design and versatility to wear it in an everyday setting. Though for the subsequent months, runners may not instantly recognize the swag as a race shirt, that is, depending on your preference, perhaps a good thing as simple is sometimes better.
Canadian Running will be on-site for Saturday’s race, which begins at 7:30 a.m. local time from University Avenue north of Queen Street.
