Andre De Grasse wins in front of a home crowd in Ottawa as Crystal Emmanuel sets a lifetime best in the women's 100m final
Andre De Grasse and Crystal Emmanuel defended their titles as Canada’s fastest man and fastest woman.
De Grasse, who eyed a sub-10-second performance in the 100m final on Friday, ran 10.11 to defeat Brendon Rodney and secure his spot at the IAAF World Championships. Crystal Emmanuel, with an emphatic celebration, set a new 100m personal best in 11.20 at the Canadian Track and Field Championships in Ottawa.
