Kieran Lumb’s display of finish line sportsmanship in photos

Every finisher counts

Kieran Lumb

After finishing first in the U20 (junior) men’s 8K, Kieran Lumb stuck around in the finish line chute to congratulate every runner who came through after him. The UBC Thunderbird was coming off a bronze medal performance at the NAIA Cross-Country Championships and won the national cross-country championships on Saturday in Kingston, Ont.

With the win, Lumb is eligible to compete for Team Canada at the 2018 Pan American Cross-Country Championships. He ran at the 2017 IAAF World Cross-Country Championships.
