Last weekend Maritime Race Weekend race director Michelle Kempton travelled to New Orleans for the RunningUSA conference, a huge meet of race directors. She sent us some photos to give you an inside look at the conference!

RunningUSA — Some thought it wouldn’t be possible, but I’m travelling with only carry-ons! Tired of paying luggage fees and it feels so freeing!

RunningUSA — Bling alert! Early morning double run, two-piece medal! Nice job, Ashworth Awards. Plus, I picked up some beads along the way.

RunningUSA — Morning runs were organized for the race directors. Running along the river and through the French Quarter was a great way to start the day.

RunningUSA — The best medal suppliers in North America were all there! Kind of cool to see Maritime Race Weekend medals on display in the Ashworth Awards booth.

RunningUSA — This is the biggest medal that I’ve ever seen (it’s about a foot in diameter).

This medal makes me want to create a disco theme race. It’s also massive.

RunningUSA — This was a women’s powerhouse session. Impressive panel of women leading the running industry!
