Aaron Brown of Canada continued his stellar season with a win over Trinidad’s Jereem Richards as well as 2017 world champion Ramil Guliyev of Turkey, in 20.06 seconds at the IAAF Golden Spike meet in Ostrava, Czech Republic yesterday.

It was the second time in a week that Brown had faced Guliyev. Brown broke the 20-second barrier for the first time at Oslo Diamond League on June 7, for second place just behind Guliyev.

In other results, Canada’s Gavin Smellie was fifth in the men’s 100m, which was won by the US’s Justin Gatlin in 10.03.

Charles Philibert-Thiboutot of Quebec City was 14th in the 3,000m, with a time of 7:45.03.
