The Virgin Money 2018 London Marathon is happening this Sunday, with the elite men taking off at 4:15 a.m. EDT, and the women at 5:00 a.m. FloTrack has streaming rights in Canada. (A subscription is $12.50 per month.)
Yes, it’s early – but you have to get up early if you want to see the world’s fastest runners defend their titles and set new world records (which could well happen Sunday).
You might also catch a celebrity or two; besides Queen Elizabeth II, who will officially start the race, some famous runners to be seen raising money for their favourite charities include British talk show host Chris Evans, Daily Telegraph columnist Bryony Gordon, and star of BBC TV’s Torchwood, Eve Myles.
Among those competing Sunday are two-time London Marathon winner and fastest marathoner in history Eliud Kipchoge, defending champion Daniel Wanjiru and runner-up Kenenisa Bekele, and hometown favourite Mo Farah.

The women’s field prove equally compelling, with defending champion and world record holder Mary Keitany going up against Olympic gold medallist and world champion Tirunesh Dibaba, who achieved a PB last year at London in 2:17:56. Tracy Barlow is the top elite British woman competing.

Guaranteed, it will be worth rising early to see these stars of the running world race.
