With the help of American actress Gabrielle Union, who has more than 3.4 million followers on Twitter, 2017 IAAF World Championships women’s 400m hurdles champion Kori Carter is getting worldwide attention.

The American, before going on to win the world title out of lane nine in the 400m hurdles, broke into a very brief smile and wave to the crowd during her pre-race introduction. Almost immediately, the 25-year-old’s split on-camera personality reverted back to a serious look. She ran 53.07 for the win on Thursday.

Union shared the video, adding an “I am her” comment, with the tweet garnering more than 6,600 shares (retweets). A previous tweet with the video was shared an additional 5,890 times and is gaining popularity on the social news aggregator website Reddit as of Aug. 12. Meanwhile, the Streamable video has more than 100,000 views.

Canadian Sage Watson finished in sixth clocking 54.92 in her first senior global outdoor final. Aug. 13 is the final day of action at the 2017 IAAF World Championships.
