Usain Bolt

With the men’s 100m semifinals and final on tap for Aug. 5, Usain Bolt is set to run the final individual race of his illustrious career. The 30-year-old Jamaican is expected to retire after the London 2017 IAAF World Championships.

The world record holder in the 100m, 200m and the 4x100m relay has lifetime bests of 9.58 and 19.19 in his individual events. He will compete as part of the Jamaican team in the relay later on during London 2017.

The men’s 100m semifinals – no Canadians are in the field – go off at 2:05 p.m. EDT followed shortly by the final at 4:45 p.m. EDT. Before the action goes off, make sure to relive some of Bolt’s memorable career moments, specifically six of the world records he set, including two that still stand today. (The 4x100m relay record from London is not included in the video.)
