Meb Keflezighi, winner of the 2014 Boston Marathon, will be back at the world’s most storied marathon this year.
Keflezighi will compete as part of Team MR8, set up by the Martin Richard Foundation. Richard was the eight year old boy who died when two bombs exploded near the finish line in 2013.

Keflezighi retired from the professional circuit after running last year’s New York marathon, finishing 11th. It was his 26th marathon as a pro.
The Martin Richard Foundation was set up in January 2014 to honour Martin’s memory and to “provide opportunities for young people to learn, grow and lead through volunteerism and community engagement,” according to its website.
Keflezighi is one of 115 people running Boston with Team MR8 this year.
