De Grasse delivers the goods; wins bronze in the men’s 100m
The evening’s premier event did not disappoint. Usain Bolt retained his title as the world’s fastest man winning in a time of 9.81 while Canada’s Andre De Grasse ran a second straight personal best time of 9.91 finishing third and earning the bronze medal.
Usain Bolt won his third straight Olympic gold medal in the men’s 100m making history. Unlike the heats before it, it seemed he had to work for the win but in the end, showed the world that he is still number one.

This for you my people— Usain St. Leo Bolt (@usainbolt) August 15, 2016
Justin Gatlin of the United States was second in a time of 9.89.
This will undoubtedly be Bolt’s last Olympics but for De Grasse, this is just the beginning. At just 21 years of age (compared to Bolt’s 30), De Grasse has a long and exciting future ahead of him.Â
