Want to be seen in the dark?

Canadian Running attempted to do just that with the help of a headlamp, shoe lights and vibrant clothing, as much as we could, within reason of course, using everyday gear, so there was little chance we would go unnoticed to vehicles and pedestrians.

Some of the products used include the Black Diamond Sprinter Rechargeable Headlamp, Arc’teryx shoes, Albedo100 Reflective Spray (what you see at the start of the video), Nike tights and vest, a Saucony green top and Maritime Race Weekend-branded Buff.

This person has more battery powered lights for running sidewalks than we use to run night trails in the forest! A traffic vest to replace the black one would go a long way to help being seen. And black tights are hard to see, no matter how much reflective spray you put on them – so many more visible colours!
