Gear we love: Saucony’s latest athleisure line

If warm weather is an indicator of one thing, it’s that fitness levels are about to improve and gearing up for the run just got a whole lot easier. No longer do runners have to pile on the layers and brave the sleet and snow. Dress in your lightest, most breezy running apparel these months because the temperatures are going up. New this month is Saucony’s latest athleisure line. Look good while working out with these six items this spring.

Women’s apparel
Saucony has taken a totally different approach with this top– and it works! First off, the purple-blue shade that they’ve gone with is flattering on a wide range of skin tones. It’s also airy and light which makes it a great top to throw on either during the run or when runners want to feel fresh afterwards. The best detail here though is the mesh patterned back. This attention to style and detail makes this an easy choice to wear even when not working out. Plus, pairing it with a cute cutout bra like the Radiant Bra Top makes for a cool workout look.

A high neck line works well for runners who want that little bit of extra coverage and Saucony’s Radiant Bra Top has that. What’s really neat about this bra is the cutouts on the back. This twist to the classic racer back makes it stand out in the gear wardrobe.
Luxe Crop Tight, $88
The high-waist pants trend has hit the running scene. Athletic wear couldn’t get more spring-like than this: Saucony presents us with a white summery tight with a chic black and blue floral print. Mesh, translucent panels seem to be one of the big trends in running apparel this year and Saucony has made sure not to overlook this little detail.
Men’s apparel
Uptown Hoodie, $128
Throw this on to keep cozy after your toughest race this spring or bring it with you as you adventure along hiking trails this summer. The best thing about the Uptown Hoodie is its versatility. Oh, but don’t think we didn’t notice how those deep yellow zippers add a pop of colour to the whole outfit.
We’re really digging this grey and yellow colour combo that Saucony is going with this season. This top is comfortable and feels smooth against the skin. It’s also chafe-free and breathable. We didn’t know the word “ombre” applied to running apparel but we’re into it.
Cityside Short, $68
Runners who try out this pair are going to notice first off that it feels comfortable with a fabric that feels soft against the skin. For those runners who are not into the short shorts that grace the roads and the tracks, this is a great alternative. Or, if you’re planning on doing an easy run before jumping straight into errands right after, this transitions nicely from the workout to the day-to-day activities.
