Beyoncé launches new Ivy Park athleisure line

Beyoncé gives girls another reason to run the world with the launch of her new Ivy Park athleisure line.

Pop icon Beyoncé has just given girls another reason to run the world.

After designing apparel for her Topshop since 2011, Bey has just come out with an athleisure line. The line, named Ivy Park after her daughter Blue Ivy, is a 200-piece collection with apparel becoming available on April 14.

The athleisure trend has been a thing for awhile now with runners especially taking advantage of the fusion of running attire and comfortable but on-trend everyday wear. Transitioning from the morning toning session or quick 10K run to daily errands or coffee has become a much more simple routine. At last, running clothing is stylish enough to wear on the streets.

It’s no wonder that celebrities are taking part in the trend. Before Beyoncé’s Ivy Park, singer Carrie Underwood came out with CALIA and Kate Hudson’s Fabletics has been a well-known athleisure line for awhile now. The Beyoncé line will differ from these two though and should emulate a bold, attitudinal style to echo the singer’s personality.

As well, the clothing with an Ivy Park label is geared towards women with full figures and curves. She is presenting the line in collaboration with Topshop owner Sir Philip Green.

So far her video presenting the line (featured above) has over one million views. It came out in late March.

“There are things I’m still scared of. When I have to conquer those things, I still go back to that park. Before I hit the stage, I go back to that park,” she says in the video promoting the athletic wear line. “The park became my strength.”
