The newest wearable from Polar is "your personal assistant on the way to better fitness"

Polar announced its latest contribution to the world of wearable technology on Tuesday: the Polar Unite. The Polar Unite is a stylish watch that you can wear in any setting, but it’s so much more than just a cool-looking accessory. The watch, which comes in four colours (black, white, pink and blue), is equipped to guide you toward achieving your daily fitness goals. With your Unite, you will receive personalized workouts, well-being guidance and many more features that will maximize your training every single day. This is a reasonably-priced watch (it costs $214.99) and is complete with features that would normally make you say, “It looks nice, but I can’t afford that.”

Guided training

Polar’s FitSpark training guide provides you with personalized workouts that are selected based on your fitness level and recent workload. Your Polar Unite will know exactly how much you’ve trained and what your body can handle, so training will be catered to you to ensure that you get the best workout possible each day while avoiding burnout. For runners, this is so important. It can be easy to get overzealous in training, so having a coach on your wrist telling you when to slow down and take it easy is a serious advantage.

Like past Polar watches, you can see data about your heart rate, calories burned and GPS information, like your pace, distance run and route. In addition to these features, your Unite watch will monitor your heart rate continuously throughout the day to give you a comprehensive look at how your heart behaves as you go about your everyday activities. It also uses Polar’s Serene feature, which will take you through guided breathing exercises to help relax your body and mind when life’s daily stressors start to add up. Finally, it has an Activity Guide, which lets you know how much more work you need to do to reach your daily fitness goals.

Sleep tracking

The Polar Unite won’t just help you out during the day — it’s built to maximize your sleep, too. The Unite’s Sleep Plus Stages feature will track your sleep cycle and give you a Sleep Score every morning, which will have detailed insights into the quality of your sleep. This way, you can not only realize that you aren’t sleeping well, but you can use the data to help improve your sleep in the future.

Everyday wear

With a bright and colourful touchscreen on the Polar Unite, it’s great for everyday use. Plus, the watch face is customizable, so you can pick a design that suits you. The watch has a battery life that will last four days in its regular mode (which includes continuous heart rate tracking) and up to 50 hours in its training mode while connected to GPS. Even if you forget to charge it before bed, you can be sure that it will be ready to go the next day and provide you with all the data you need to to get the most out of your morning workout.
