You can’t buy Nike’s Breaking2 shoe but here’s a way you can win a pair
Go for a Sunday run as you typically would and be entered for a chance to win a pair of Nike Vaporfly Elite.
Nike’s Breaking2 shoe, the Vaporfly Elite, used during the sub-two-hour marathon attempt isn’t available for purchase. “It will never be sold,” Nike says.

That said, there is a way to get your hands on a pair of the racing flats, which Eliud Kipchoge, Lelisa Desisa and Zersenay Tadese used during the May 6 event. Kipchoge, 32, ran 2:00:25 under ideal conditions, including running on a Formula One race track, having six alternating pacers as well as wearing the shoes that Nike says can improve running economy by four percent. Several factors involved made the run ineligible for a world record so Dennis Kimetto’s 2:02:57 still stands.
According to Nike:

Though the Vaporfly Elite will not be sold, three similar-looking shoes will go on sale on June 8. Those include the Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4%, a racing flat, the Nike Zoom Fly and the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 34, the sportswear brand’s iconic lightweight trainer. They will be in the same colourways as the shoes seen in Monza, Italy.
