Disney Princess Half-Marathon

RunDisney’s third race of 2017 wrapped up on the weekend. The always-popular themed events are a hit among runners looking for a memorable destination race.

Walt Disney World Resort in Florida was the site of the Disney Princess Half-Marathon “women’s-themed” race weekend featuring a half, 10K, 5K and kids race. The 5K kicked off the three-day event on Friday followed by a 10K and half-marathon over the next two days. The Glass Slipper Challenge provides an added dynamic involving completing both the 10K and half-marathon back-to-back days.

The runDisney events are known for their iconic medals and themed swag. Runners at the events also get the chance to purchase the Disney-themed New Balance shoes that the sportswear brand puts out each year. In 2017, there were as many as 18,500 finishers according to the Orlando Sentinel.

The Star Wars Half-Marathon – The Dark Side race weekend is the next runDisney event on the calendar April 20-23. In the meantime, relive the Princess Half-Marathon weekend with some of the event’s best photos below.
