Tie for first place at Maritime Race Weekend Trail 15K

The top-two men in the Tidal Trail 15K at Maritime Race Weekend run identical times in a tight finish to close out the Eastern Passage, N.S.-based event

The finish of the inaugural Tidal Trail 15K at Maritime Race Weekend couldn’t have been closer.

The top-two men’s finishers tied for first clocking an identical 57:42 for the 15K out-and-back from Cole Harbour, N.S. Jamie Lamond and Rami Bardeesy ran the entirety of the 15K race, the first of its kind at Maritime Race Weekend, and crossed the finish line together. The two had more than seven minutes on third place.

Lamond got the edge in the final results.

The afternoon distance capped off Maritime Race Weekend on Saturday after a 5K on Friday and an additional 5K, as well as a 10K, half-marathon and marathon, the next morning. A course record was set at each distance.
