There's nothing quite like a race medal reveal to get you in the mood for a spring marathon
Nothing gets us in the mood for spring quite like seeing the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend medals, and this year’s Scotiabank Ottawa Marathon medal is a beauty.

The medal is similar to that of previous years, featuring Canada’s glorious maple leaf, which never fails to elicit pride in the city as our nation’s capital. This year the maple leaf, which appears in red on a black background, is emblazoned with place names from across the country, and incorporates a free-spinning circle printed with “Canada’s Marathon/Marathon du Canada.” Inside the circle is the Centre Block of the Parliament Buildings and the dates 1975-2019, this year being the race’s 45th anniversary.
Traditionally the medals for the other distances are similar, but are hung on different-coloured ribbons.
