For the second time in three years, Alysia Montaño competed at a USATF Outdoor Championship while pregnant.
In 2014, the American competed at the national championships while pregnant with her first child, Linnea, who was in attendance at this year’s race in Sacramento, Calif. Fast forward to 2017, Montaño raced the women’s 800m, finishing at the back of the pack in 2:21.40.
The 2015 Pan Am Games silver medallist and two-time world championships medallist is currently five months pregnant. “I have some pretty awesome maternity photos from both pregnancies,” the 31-year-old said on Instagram. The Olympian notably runs with a flower in her hair at local, national and international athletics competitions.
