Brogan MacDougall, 16, puts on a show at Canadian Track Championships

The 16-year-old raced against athletes born two years earlier and still won the U20 women's 3,000m at the Canadian Track and Field Championships

Brogan MacDougall ran away from the field, which included runners more than two years older than her, at the 2017 Canadian Track and Field Championships.

The 16-year-old from Kingston, Ont. scorched a 9:21.84 performance in the U20 women’s 3,000m to win the national title. She is a youth-aged athlete but competed in an older classification at the national championships. The time was an eight-second personal best – previously 9:29.65 – for the Physi-Kult runner who will represent Canada at the Commonwealth Youth Games in the Bahamas later this month.
