Calgary Marathon gets new title sponsor

On April 26, Run Calgary announced that a new title sponsor is coming to the Calgary Marathon after Scotiabank’s 10-year tenure has come to an end. Servus Credit Union will be the new title sponsor through June 2026. This partnership will expand the credit union’s commitment to creating healthier communities in Alberta, which already includes the Servus Edmonton Marathon.

The Servus Calgary Marathon sponsorship includes naming rights to the marathon distance and its longstanding charity challenge, which to date has raised more than $8 million for local charities like Start to Finish. (Start to Finish grants have allowed more than 600 kids and their coaches to participate in the 5K who wouldn’t otherwise have the means to do so.)

This year, individuals who choose to participate in the Servus Charity Challenge can pick from 70 or more official charity partners and participate in any of the six in-person events on May 29. In 2021, the marathon raised approximately half a million dollars for its local charity partners, as one of the first in-person races to take place since the start of the pandemic.
