UJA’s Run with Israel offers exciting new 8K in downtown Toronto

Toronto’s newest running event offers a unique 8K distance that is perfect for those looking to make the jump from 5 to 10K.

The UJA’s Run with Israel will take place on Sunday May 29th in downtown Toronto. The certified and chip-timed event will offer a fast and fun tour including some of the city’s most iconic and awe-inspiring attractions. Finisher’s will receive a signature medal to commemorate their accomplishment and can then enjoy fresh post-race snacks and refreshments. A family-friendly festival will also take place complete with entertainment and much more.

The 8K, measured and certified, course begins from Coronation Park on Toronto’s Lakeshore and heads west along Queen’s Quay and Bremner Boulevard running right past the Rogers Centre and CN Tower on the way. After passing Maple Leaf Square and the Air Canada Centre, participants briefly head north before a lengthy section along Wellington Street West returning toward the finish. The final stretch runs south on Strachan Avenue then west on Prices’ Boulevard  finishing in front of the Direct Energy Centre.

Participant’s Run with Israel shirt will also gain them access to the Renee & Irwin Nadal Festival. Among others, the festival offers a Kosher BBQ, free frozen yogurt, live entertainment, carnival rides, an arts and crafts centre and teen zone.

The event’s kick-off party starts at 9 a.m. in Coronation Park with the race starting promptly at 9:45.
