Want to do something special with your mom this weekend? Why not sign your family up for the Sporting Life Virtual 10K? Even if you can’t go see her in person, running a race “together” is the perfect way to feel connected, even while you’re apart.

The Sporting Life 10K, which normally kicks off from its start line on Yonge street in Toronto, is a staple event in the Ontario racing scene, but this year’s virtual event means the race is open to residents all across Canada. The virtual run is spanning from May 9 to May 30, making it the perfect Mothers Day activity this weekend. This year, organizers have also added a new event called the Sporting Life Virtual 10k Challenge, in which participants must run or walk 10K ten times between the 9th and the 30th.

Just like in past years, the Sporting Life 10K is again supporting Camp Ooch, which helps kids with cancer experience the joy of going to camp. Their camp-inspired programs deliver fun, friendship and community to 1,900 kids and 745 families year-round, all across Ontario. Over the past 20 years, the Sporting Life 10K has raised over $21 million for Camp Ooch, and this year participants are invited again to donate to this worthy cause. This year, anyone who raises a minimum of $150 online by 11:59 p.m. EST on May 30, 2021 will be eligible to have their registration fee reimbursed.

All participants will also receive a race kit that includes a souvenir running shirt, a finisher’s medal, a  Sporting Life 10k Promotional Code and a virtual race bib that will be delivered directly to your door.
