Sunday is the lululemon Edmonton 10K. Are you ready?

This Sunday is the lululemon Edmonton 10K and runners are getting excited. If you’re entered in the event, which doubles as a massive party, here’s everything you need to know.

Start Line

The start line is located on 97th by the Alberta Legislature Grounds. Pre-race announcements and warm up will begin at 7:00 a.m. and runners must arrive and be in their corrals by 7:15 a.m. The race goes at 7:30 a.m.

Course Map

The races starts and ends in roughly the same location with the post-race party area steps away from the finish.

There’s a very strong list of elites entered in this year’s 10K. First off, there will be a battle between two of Canada’s best-ever marathoners, Cam Levins and Reid Coolsaet. The two marathoners will be joined by Evan Esselink, who was the 2018 runner-up at the event.

On the women’s side it’s a race between Canadian 10,000m champion Natasha Wodak, Canadian 3,000m indoor record holder Jessica O’Connell and Gladys Tarus, who was third at the lululemon Toronto 10K.

Post-race Party

The finish line is located on the Alberta Legislature Grounds and friends and family are encouraged to meet runners at the post-race area, which is close by at Bandshell Stage. There will be post-race yoga and a DJ set by D.J. Joanna Magic.
