Garmin launches fall marathon series
The vision behind Garmin's new marathon series transcends typical brand race sponsorships

A new marathon series promises to shake up the fall race calendar, offering North American marathoners another opportunity to challenge personal bests or snag a Boston qualifying time. Last week, Garmin unveiled its Miles That Made You marathon series, which will debut in Toledo, Ohio, on Sept. 21 and Tucson, Ariz., on Nov. 15.
The two U.S. cities were chosen for their vibrant running communities, cultural flair, event schedules and favourable weather. The events are designed to welcome all, from seasoned marathoners chasing Boston dreams to newcomers eager to take on their first 42.2.

For both Toledo and Tucson, this will be the second marathon on their annual race calendars. Toledo already hosts the renowned Glass City Marathon every spring, while Tucson features its city marathon each December.
The vision behind Garmin’s new marathon series transcends typical brand race sponsorships. Garmin wanted to set a new benchmark with an exclusive branded race weekend—a first in the North American running industry. The new series will feature a USATF-certified and Boston qualifier marathon course, in addition to a half-marathon, 10K and 5K.
Beyond the racing, all participants and spectators can look forward to a public two-day expo showcasing Garmin’s latest products and new technology. Attendees can expect limited-edition race gear from Garmin, meet and greets with professional athletes and additional items from select sponsors.

Following the marathon, there will be a finish-line festival with live entertainment, food vendors and many more activities for those in town for the weekend. Beyond Toledo and Tucson, Garmin says it plans to add more locations to its list of races for 2026.
Registration is now open for all race distances in Toledo and Tucson. To discover more details about the races and the weekend, check out garmin.com/marathons.
