Gollish, Woodfine Win Banque Scotia 21k de Montreal

On a beautiful spring morning for racing in Parc Jean Drapeau in Montreal this weekend, some 5,600 runners enjoyed sunny conditions on one of Canada’s most popular half-marathons.

Tristan Woodfine of Cobden, Ont won the men’s 21k race in 1:05.42.3. Second was Francois Jarry, of Lachine Qc at 1:07.7. Kip Kangogo of Lethbridge, AB came third at 1:08.14.

In the women’s race, Sasha Gollish of Toronto took first in today’s race at 1:16.13.6, Anne Marie Comeau St-Ferreol-Les-Neiges, QC, second at 1:16.24 and Laura Desjardins of Toronto, third at 1:17.58.

Saturday’s events included the 5 k and 10 k races. In the 5k women’s race, In the 5k women’s race, Emy Laegault took first at 17:54.2, Ale Barwick second at 18:05.5 and Delphine Hansen third at 18:38.5. In the men’s 5k, Gregoire M.Bouchard was first at 15:54.6, Alvaro Cueto second at 15:59, and Karl Belley third at !5:59.08

In the 10k, David Le Porto took first in the men’s at 32:35.7, Marc-Andre Senneville second at 32:38.3 and Mathieu Desbiens 33:40.1. For the Women, Celine Best was first at 38:32, Anne Leporte second at 40:04.3, and Marie Christine Carette third at 40.09.6.
