Canadian track fans will not want to miss this meet, as there are several Canadian athletes set to toe the line between the two days of competition. Andrea Seccafien, Ben Flanagan and Rory Linkletter will be kicking off the weekend in the 10,000m on Friday night, and Noelle Montcalm will continue the action on Saturday with the 400m hurdles followed by Bismark Boateng in the 100m.

Melissa Bishop-Nriaguwho has already run under the Olympic standard twice in the 800m, will be switching focus and running the 1,500m on Saturday, along with Lucia Stafford, Mariah Kelly and Natalia Hawthorn. Charles Philibert-Thiboutot, Mohammed Ahmed (who’s already qualified in the 5,000m) and Will Paulson will be toeing the line in the men’s 1,500m later in the day, and Corey Bellemore and Kieran Lumb will be racing the event in the evening.

There will also be plenty of Canadians to watch in the 800m, including Gabriela DeBues-Stafford and Lindsey Butterworth during the day session and Laurence Coté, Addy Townsend, Maite Bouchard, Olivia Romaniw and Madeleine Kelly in the evening. Kate Van Buskirk, Julie-Anne Staehli and Lanni Marchant will be competing in a very stacked 5,000m on Saturday evening, with Marchant lining up in the second heat of the evening.

Saturday’s afternoon events (including the top heats of the men’s and women’s 800m and 1,500m) will be broadcast live on ESPN, but the 10,000m races on Friday night and the distance races on Saturday night from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. EST will be streamed live via pay-per-view. The cost is $5.99 USD, which will allow you to watch both Friday and Saturday night, with 90 per cent of the proceeds going to the athletes in the form of prize money. You can purchase a ticket through the meet website.
