Introducing the medals for the 2020 Banque Scotia 21K de Montréal

Here is the design for the medals at this year's Banque Scotia 21K de Montréal

The medal design for the 2020 Banque Scotia 21K de Montréal has been released, and it looks sharp. Not is the design just plain cool, it also has ties to the city.

The design

The medal’s dominant triangle feature represents the site of Montreal’s Expo ’67 in Parc Jean-Drapeau, which has triangles dispersed all over, in buildings, artwork and even on the main walkway. This route, called L’Allée, connects the Biosphere to the park’s L’Homme sculpture, both of which include designs that rely heavily on the triangle. The L’Homme and L’Allée can both be seen on the 2020 medal design.

The race

This year’s Banque Scotia race weekend will be held on April 25 and 26, and there are several options for runners. On the Saturday, there are three race—a 5K, a 10K and a 1K kids run. The half-marathon is on Sunday. Runners also have the option of racing “The Double,” which combines the half-marathon with either the 5K or 10K. This option is limited to 250 entrants.
