Kangogo, Pidhoresky win Scotiabank Vancouver Half-Marathon
Kangogo scores his seventh title, Pidhoresky comes back for the win after last year's second-place finish

Lethbridge, Alta.’s Kip Kangogo won his seventh Vancouver Half-Marathon yesterday as 6,500 runners took to the streets for the half and 5K yesterday. His time was 1:07:23. And local girl Dayna Pidhoresky was top female, with a time of 1:13:04, a week after her fourth-place finish at the Toronto Waterfront 10K.
Toronto’s Sasha Gollish (winner of the Toronto Waterfront 10K last weekend) was second in the half, in a time of 1:15:04, and Cold Lake Alberta’s Emily Setlack was third, in 1:14:44. On the men’s side, Anthony Tomsich of Seattle was second in the half, with a time of 1:08:03, and Benard Onsare of Calgary was third, in 10:09:36.

In the 5K, Mark Klassen was first, in 16:36. Thomas Ditchfield was second, in 16:56, and Ricardo Escalante Carrillo third, in 17:13. On the women’s side, Stephanie McGregor was first, in 19:17. Megan McPhee was second, in 20:10. And Megan Watt was third, in 21:55.
