Describe yourself: I’m a part-time elite runner and a part-time employee at a running specialty store (Runners’ Choice in London). You may also know me as a Star Wars geek, Strava addict and advocate for gender equality in distance running.

Most notable running/racing experience: The Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon in 2015 when I ran my personal best. The weather was perfect and I nailed my pacing. I wish every marathon could go that smoothly.

How has your training gone? This buildup has gone very well and has been one of my best in terms of consistency in workouts and mileage. I’m confident that I can go for a personal best on race day if we get good weather.

Why STWM? STWM has a strong international field and Alan Brookes and the CRS provide great opportunities for Canadian runners to run fast here on Canadian soil. I keep coming back to STWM for its fast course, competitive field and great atmosphere.

Goals for the race? The marathon is a tough beast and I have had some rough ones, so the main goal is to run to my fitness and perform more consistently. Time-wise I want to run a personal best, so under 2:33:23 if the weather is good.

What gear will you be sporting for the race? The Saucony Type A8 for my racing flats. Saucony Endorphin split short and Endorphin singlet, look for the teal and purple on-course!
