Describe yourself: I’m a nurse practitioner in primary care who decided to give this running thing a chance after a breakthrough in 2016. Currently, I am working part-time and running more. I started running competitively when I was 13 and have been running ever since, some years not competitive but always a runner.

Most notable running/racing experience: Probably the provincial 10K in Victoriaville in 2016. That was my breakthrough in the 10K, dipping below 35:00 on a tough course. I injured my toe that winter so I couldn’t run. That race really got me excited for the possibility of taking running a bit further.

How has training for STWM gone? It’s been a short build since I came back from the Ivory Coast for the Francophone Games in late July. Getting back into it was a bit rough at the start but training is going great now and I’m feeling fit.

Why STWM? I chose this race because it’s a flat marathon in late October so conditions should be good. Competition should be good as well seeing as there is a group of women aiming for sub-2:40.

Goals for the race? I’m hoping to run 2:40 or faster, and to first among Quebec women.

What gear will you be sporting? I’m wearing my Saucony kit and plan on racing in the Saucony Fastwitch.
