New Canadian M55 3,000m record at WMA Indoor Championships

Simon Rayner is one of a number of Canadians competing at the World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships in Toruń, Poland this weekend

Simon Rayner of Toronto has set a new Canadian age-group record of 9:41.54 in the M55 3,000m at the World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships in Toruń, Poland today. Rayner took almost a second off Stuart Galloway’s previous record of 9:42.22, set in 2016.

Rayner is originally from the UK but has lived in Toronto for many years. He trains with the University of Toronto Track Club.
