Ontario Premier first in age group in Toronto Women’s 5K
10th anniversary of Toronto Women's Race series sells out, packing Sunnybrook Park
It's debate day and like every other day, I started it with a run to keep me focused on what really matters: building up an Ontario that works for everyone. Because better never stops. #TOwomensruns pic.twitter.com/yVeAts21sn

Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne ran the Toronto Women’s 5K race in Sunnybrook Park this morning, finishing first in her age category (65-69), in 28:53.3. She was also given the task of blowing the air horn for the 10K race, which started earlier.
The Premier chatted amiably with runners before the race, some of whom were surprised to recognize her.
It was a warm, sunny day in the park for the first series of Toronto Women’s races. Seanna Robinson won the 5K in 18:33. Second was Andrea Smith (18:56), and Kathryn Sherwood third (19:14).
So amazing to run a pain-free race for the first time in ages! And these @foxyoriginals medals are adorable! Thanks for another great race @TOWomensRuns! #amrunning #womensetthepace pic.twitter.com/qVFNfwZzoi

The parking lots were jammed in the park for this very popular race series, which began 10 years ago. The series has raised over $350,000 for the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario since its inception.
