Former Olympian Paul Osland is still running fast at age fifty.

Over the weekend Osland, who ran the 800m at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, broke four Canadian masters track records at the Ontario masters track championships.

Osland broke the men’s ages 50-54 800m record by running 2:06.79 and the 1500m record for the same category by running 4:18.43.

He also was a member of a team of athletes who broke the men’s 50-54 4x400m record with Michael Sherar, Marino Sani and Noel Brown.

Rounding out his weekend, Osland ran with a team of younger athletes to break the men’s 35-39 4x800m record. Others on the team were Jay Brecher, Michal Kapral and Joey Boland.

It was also another great weekend for Karla Del Grande, who broke a national master record for women 60-64 in the 50m dash by running 7.33 and was a member of a women’s 45-49 4x400m relay that broke a national record.
