After launching the new Metaspeed Sky+ and Metaspeed Edge+ yesterday, Asics hosted about 80 of the company’s sponsored athletes to compete in 5K, 10K and half-marathon races, looking to set as many PBs and records as possible. The day was a huge success, with some speedy times and record-setting performances in all three events. Here’s a look back at the exciting day of racing in words and pictures:

Mohamed El Aaraby from Morocco was the first of the three sub-60-min performances in the men’s half-marathon, running 59:54. Behind him were Wiifred Kimitei (KEN), 59:56 and Alfred Kipchirchir Mukche (KEN), 59:56.
Makenna Myler ran 32:39 in the women’s 10K
Sarah Lahti from Sweden ran 31:55 to take second in the women’s 10K
Vicoty Chepngeno from Kenya won the women’s 10K in 31:39
Julia Mayer from Austria set a new national record with her 1:11:13 finish in the half marathon
