A mass-participation 5K race is coming to this year’s World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Ore. The Asics Uplift Oregon 5K is scheduled to take place on the same morning as the men’s marathon–July 17 at 6:15 a.m.

Two thousand runners will get the chance to take part in the historical race, where they will be given the chance to run on the same course on the same morning as the world’s top marathoners.

At the finish, participants are invited to the Asics Oregon Fan Festival, adjacent to the finish line, right outside the University of Oregon’s Autzen Stadium. The festival is expected to feature a big-screen viewing experience, interactive recovery stations and, most importantly, a post-race party.

Runners will also be able to access this exclusive area during both the men’s and women’s marathons, which will start and finish outside the stadium.

Race registration is only open to OneASICS members. If you aren’t a member, you can sign up for a free OneASICS membership during registration, which comes with perks like exclusive race entries and free standard shipping on Asics orders.

The entry fee for the Asics Uplift Oregon 5K is USD $50. Each runner will receive an Uplift Oregon 5K race T-shirt, bib and exclusive access to the post-race celebration.
