If you aren’t quite in the festive spirit yet, get in a holiday mood with the 2022 Santa Shuffle: a fun holiday 5K run and 1K walk for all ages and skill levels. For the first time in three years, the race will be in person on Saturday, Dec. 10., across 27 Canadian cities.

Those who sign up can fundraise throughout the holiday season to make a difference in their community, with proceeds from the race going toward your local Salvation Army. Those who fundraise more than $100 by Dec. 1 will receive free race registration. With registration, each runner will also receive a brand-new festive winter scarf and a truly one-of-a-kind Santa Shuffle race shirt.

On race day, runners are encouraged to wear their funkiest festive running attire for lots of laughter and fun. There are also three national best-dressed contests/prizes for individuals, groups and even pets! Each participant will receive a finishing medal in celebration of their accomplishment.

The Santa Shuffle began 32 years ago in Edmonton, when local Running Room members decided to use their passion for running and the festive season to raise money to support the less fortunate in their community. In 2001, the race became a national event and expanded to 27 Santa Shuffle locations across Canada.

You can sign up for the 2022 Santa Shuffle until Dec. 5. Find a Santa Shuffle near you.
