Sarah Inglis sets all-comers record at St. Patrick’s Day 5K
The Scottish runner took 10 seconds off the existing record held by Natasha Wodak, who finished second
Sarah Inglis of Langley, B.C. set a new Canadian all-comers record in the 5K distance at the BMO St. Patrick’s Day 5K race in Vancouver yesterday, with a time of 15:29. The previous record of 15:39 was held by Natasha Wodak, who set a 3-second personal best for second place, in 15:36. Shalaya Kipp of Vancouver was third, in 16:14.

Inglis, 27, is a Scottish runner who attended Trinity Western University in Langley, B.C. and who has racked up an impressive list of running accomplishments since coming to Canada, including being the Canadian university cross-country champion in 2015.

John Gay won the men’s race in 14:06, with Justin Kent in second place in 14:13 and Kieran Lumb in third, in 14:13.
