The siblings finished in very respectable times, both just under the 3:30 mark. Daniel finished in 3:11:42 and Henrik was just behind him in 3:24:08.

The brothers retired from professional hockey after the 2017-18 season after playing for Vancouver for their entire 17-year NHL careers. Since their retirement, their numbers hang in Rogers Arena, 33 for Henrik and 22 for Daniel. They wore their numbers to race on Sunday.

The 2018 Boston Champion, Yuki Kawauchi, won the Marathon in a new course record time of 2:15:01. Kawauchi finished 17th at the 2019 Boston Marathon in 2:15:29, almost the exact same time as at Boston 2018 and similar to his time from Sunday’s race. It appears the marathoner has found a sweet spot at 2:15.
