CBC Sports is streaming the 2017 IAAF World Relays from Nassau, Bahamas beginning Saturday evening.

Canada has a strong team of sprinters in the annual event, which serves as a means of qualification for the 2017 IAAF World Championships this summer in London. (The top eight teams in the 4x100m and 4x400m earn automatic spots to London 2017.)

Action gets underway at 7 p.m. EDT with day one of two mostly consisting of the heats. Day two, Sunday, features many of the event’s finals including the 4x100m, 4x200m and 4x400m. Andre De Grasse, a triple Olympic medallist in Rio, headlines the Canadian contingent racing in the Caribbean. The first event of the championships goes off at 7:35 p.m. EDT.

According to Athletics Canada, the following notable athletes are participating: De Grasse, Brendon Rodney, Aaron Brown, Akeem Haynes and Bolade Ajomale, Crystal Emmanuel, Farah Jacques, Carline Muir, Alicia Brown and Noelle Montcalm. (Canada has 12 Olympians on the full squad, per AC.) Jamaican Usain Bolt, the world record holder in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m, is not slated to race for his country.

The Canadian men’s 4x100m relay team won bronze at the Olympics in Rio while the women’s 4x400m relay squad finished fourth at the Summer Games. Canada won’t be fielding a 4x800m relay team in either the men’s or women’s divisions. Only the 4x100m and 4x400m relay events are contested at the world championship level.
