The Toronto Women's Run Series 8K and 5K races had 550 finishers on Saturday in Sunnybrook Park

Though Saturday’s weather started out rainy and windy, by start time it was cool and overcast, with no wind–perfect for the Toronto Women’s Run series 8K and 5K races in Sunnybrook Park, a joyful end to the series’ highly successful 11th season. (And for 550 finishers, a great way to kick off their Thanksgiving Weekend).

The races raised $40,000 for POGO (Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario), the charity for kids living with cancer, bringing the total raised over 11 seasons to $440,000.

8K winner Aly Drynan has finished on the podium at every race this season. (She also finished third at the Sporting Life 10K in May.)
