Many runners are in the thick of fall marathon training. If so, you’re goal race is likely six to eight weeks away, and now is a great time to consider a tune-up race.
For some marathon runners, the 10K can feel like an off distance. As runners prep for their fall marathon, throwing a 10K or 5K in might feel difficult but it’s a good way to break up your marathon build. By scheduling a tune-up race, you’re giving yourself a small goal en route to your bigger goal. Also, who doesn’t love two personal bests in one season?
