RELATED: Allie Kieffer is running Around the Bay

Around the Bay has taken place since 1894, making it technically older than Boston. The event draws a strong contingent of Canadian elites like Reid Coolsaet and Krista DuChene.

The 2019 event will also host American runner and New York City Marathon 7th place finisher Allie Kieffer. Keiffer plans on running the London Marathon and using ATM as a tune-up race, and her addition could potentially place the course record held by former Canadian marathon record holder Lanni Marchant of 1:44:40 in jeopardy.
